Live Rowing: The Pacing Screen

Modified on Mon, 8 Apr at 8:55 AM

This page describes the Pacing Screen, only available to rowers during an active piece.

Navigating to the Pacing Screen

  1. Connect the RowHero app to the PM5. (See Your First Workout on the Getting Started for Rowers guide.)

  2. Set up the PM5 to start either a single or interval time, distance, or calorie piece. RowHero should turn into a landscape view showing you one of many screens. If you already see a screen which looks like the screenshot below, you’re on the right page. Otherwise, go to step #3.

  3. Swipe left or right to toggle between screens until you find the Pacing Screen.

The Pacing Screen

Every stroke you pull, the screen will refresh with data from the latest stroke, depending on your settings. See below for more information on each part of the screen.

  1. Core Stat: The stat in the top left is the Core Stat for this view. You can cycle through Core Stats by tapping the blue link (Projected Avg Split above) to open the Stat Selector Menu.

The menu contains all options to display, including: Projected Finish Split, Projected Finish Time/Distance, Projected Finish Watts, Stroke Length, and Heart Rate.

  1. Alternate Stat: The stat in the bottom left is the Alternate Stat for this view. For Projected Finish screens this is the Projected Finish Stroke Rate. For the Heart Rate screen, it's the Heart Rate zone (if configured).

  2. Graph. This graph follows the Core Stat across the whole piece.

  3. Navigation Arrows. Tap these arrows to cycle between screens.
